My god, we have a KU fan around here? Could Auburn fall any lower than that?

You have no clue about AU boosters. The boosters didn't want Harsin. The boosters have as much money as most programs in the SEC. The key is the President and his desire to have sports as an arm of the University marketing. Most think they have one now.

Look how Harsin has been treated and he’s from the rural areas in the Pacific Northwest, with guns, bibles and fishing.

Harsin is treated the way he is because he's losing at a rate that's unacceptable at Auburn, not because he's from out West. Gus Malzahn was at Auburn for eight years and he never had a losing season. If they ran him out of town, why the frick would they like Harsin when he starts off worse than Malzahn at his worst? The team before Gus went 3–9.

Auburn wanting our coach.

How the mighty have fallen.

Why the frick would he want to go somewhere like that?

You mean a place with actual potential? Kansas football has low expectations and almost zero history of any semblance of success, and they're on their fifth coach since Mark Mangino… since 2010. Only one of those coaches lasted more than three years and none more than four, and that's not because they keep getting hired away.

About the only thing that can save Auburn is if they go beg Malzahn back. It might be kinda tuff but money talks and Mrs. Malzahn speaks that language.

You think Harsin does?

Never underestimate AU's ability to act a damn fool.

But Harsin has the opportunity to prove the haters wrong. Thus far he has squandered it.

But my point is, you're a fricking hypocrite to criticize AU when your miserable program has been a merry-go-round of shite coaches for the last 13 years.

Yeah cause they all sucked

We also didn’t fire anyone with massive buyouts to follow

Harsin is only in year two

We have made shitty hires, but at least we handled them in a somewhat normal fashion

You fired Turner Gill after two seasons (and and paid him $6 million for his 5 wins)

You paid Charlie Weis almost as much after firing him 4 games into year 3 for going 1-18 in the Big12

this was at a time when AU was paying Gene Chizik's buyout of $10 million, but that was after he won an NC

KU spent 3rd highest amount in CFB for contract buyouts 2005-2020

Please dear God no. They need to hire Jeremy Pruitt. He knows how to recruit Alabama.

That article leaves out a critical year that proves my point

I said we fire people like we’re supposed to. Not hire them like we’re supposed to.

And our buyouts pale in comparison to Malzahn’s

Every school has big boosters. You just have to get them on your side.

Yeah because who would want to coach in front of 85k when you can coach in front of 8500. Kansas is a basketball school and it'll take a hell of a lot more football wins to change that.

The worst part about this is we can’t play our three rivals who suck right now (Mizzou, Colorado, Nebraska)
