At Auburn they would expect him to conform and be an “Auburn man” and play that whole game with the boosters. With all the TV money coming in it’s not the late 90s. Ole Miss can pay Kiffin, he’s already making 7.4
it’s funny everybody wants to act like they know what goes on in Auburn now

Nobody really knows what goes on inside the cult. But, the Barn has aired they’re dirty laundry in public so much, that it’s easy to predict their actions.

1) Rich Rodriguez- Rich Rod spurned Bama in 2007 and made them settle for that bumb Nick Saban. Now time to really hammer home how much better Auburn is than Bama by bagging Bama's "one that got away"
2) Les Miles- While Nick Saban has enjoyed some success at Bama after going 48-16 at LSU imagine what Les could do as he was 114-34 at LSU
3) Kevin Sumlin- If you're looking to keep Auburn's tradition of style over substance I can't think of anyone better to waste your money on.
4) Dan Mullen- Since Auburn recruits itself he'll be right at home. This would be a game changing hire and would solidify Auburn as the second best school in Alabama (most years). Another plus is that BowlJackson doesn't like him; which puts his name next to Urban Meyer.
5) Urban Meyer- In true Auburn fashion he'll get you an NC and then abandon your program before the NCAA sanctions it to death..WHAT A RIDE!

I must've missed all the sanctions post-2010

Didn’t lsu football literally just receive a Notice of Allegations a few months ago and are currently awaiting ncaa sanctions?

AU will hire someone who was listed on the List I posted two years ago. Some are no longer a consideration for various reasons, but you can weed those names out. Still think it will be Freeze.

Pearl, Freeze, JJ - that will be quite a cult

I said that because he used the word "cult". I thought you had that trademarked

He knows they are a Cult and he is trying to shift that description to Auburn. Remember a Cult marches lockstep with its fellow members, that is nothing like the AU fanbase. Which is why we have Harsin.

All of the have beaten Bama's arse at some point. Sounds like fear from you.

I guess Rich McGlynn is letting some things slip.

Honestly, Auburn needs to hire Willey Fritz.
- Very solid Coach.
- Great recruiting ties.
- Knows the South.
- Would be his last stop.
- Gives Auburn the chance to bring someone in that can right the ship and get rid of all the overhead in ex-coaches salary.
- Lets you encourage him to bring in some assistants like Cadillac, Lashlee, etc etc that can be groomed to take over eventually.
It is a solid hire like Sam Pittman. Not Flashy. It is a great solid option.
They will never do it.

I don't think you will see anyone in the AD Administration have a say on who the next coach will be. Allen Greene is the poster child for anyone in the AD Administration that wants to put their two cents in, they can talk all they want after the hire has been made.

Your deadpan, serious delivery of the inner workings of the Barn are hilarious.
I might nominate you for annual hilarious poster of the year award (if one exists)

And you do not have a fricking clue. The funny part is you think Auburn is unique in how they hire a coach and who makes the decision. Truth is Auburn was unique allowing Greene to make the decision on his own and have the President sign off on it. It will not happen like that this time, because both are now gone.

Somebody else gets it. All the irrational Auburn fans think this is 15 to 20 years ago. When Georgia was down, Saban hadn’t landed at Bama and there was no SEC TV money while good old boys ran most the Athletic Depts in the SEC. Fast forward to modern day……Lane Kifffin is content at Ole Miss and won’t do anything but leverage Auburn for a contract extension……and Auburn is so bad that they are looking to fire the HC 3 games into the season and are on the path of Tennessee irrelevance……got to love it. Better yet the best thing are the delusional losers saying bu but but we won a Nc over a decade ago…..welcome to Mediorceville
