Kid is a Baller. He was all over the field last night. He might be our best defender.

He graded out well on PFF. I don’t know if he does anything exceptional but he does everything at a high level. Provides a lot of stability when he’s in the field

Our DE’s did really well, but someone pointed out last week their starting tackles were freshmen weighing 275, and 265.

That OL gave up 7 sacks to Portland. 3 to us.

I love Eku and think he’s a better pass rusher then Hall. I think Hall does a better job against the run in edge support

Our d line seems to over run the quarterback. They dont collapse the pocket into the qb but seem to be too far behind him and then try to arm tackle. They get pressure but they are almost blocked out too far to make a sack.

They did a lot of quick passes early and did a good bit of max protection. Which makes it even more baffling that we played such soft coverage on the outside all game.

DE’s were solid at creating pressure but a lot of the time the interior just didn’t get much push and left a lot of easy lanes for that QB to scramble.

As I have been saying, let’s turn up the Pacific Islander quota for the AU football team. Great jumbo athletes, great teammates. Great culture fit.
