Not sure I’ve seen one here although several have commented in other threads.

After reading most of the preseason predictions and w/l game by game stuff, I guess we can hang it up, lol. One said we could go 3-9 with a loss to Vandy.

Well, I’m not of that opinion. The wheels could fall of, yes or some key injuries could kill us. But, I think we’ll be better than most think and not everyone will be as good as they think (Florida, SC, TN, KY, KS).

I’m going to say 7-5 but 8-4 isn’t out of the realm of possibility. 6-6 is probable. I wont say who the wins will be against outside of LT, AC, NMS, and Vandy.

Tossups are AU, FL, SC, KY, TN, AR, KS.

I’m not convinced preseason and of the “tossups” above are for sure losses. We’ll see.

Thoughts?

Just more of the same 6-6.

The benchmark for a good season is exactly the same as last year: get a bowl win.

Arky’s QB will regress without KJ Jefferson and I think they have a disappointing season. Definitely not a guaranteed win but I think that’s a 60%+ chance of a Mizzou win

Err... this is awkward... the Arkansas QB is KJ Jefferson.

Yeah, I think he meant Jefferson will regress without Burks. Ahh well. He might. That VA transfer is interesting, but I don’t think he’ll produce as well as Burks.

This is cheating but..

If we beat k state we go 9-3. If we lose to k state we go 6-6. State will be a great measuring stick because I think auburn, usc, Florida, are MORE winnable than @ k state

Of the toss up games, I think Ark is the toughest, then KS, then Tenn or Kentucky.
goals for the season:
Drink has an entertaining offense.
Player development.
Depth covers our injuries better than the past 6 years.
Improvement as the year goes on.
In the offseason, prevent players from leaving or being poached while adding good transfers.

Don't care near as much what the record is.

Love seeing the confidence on here. To be honest I’m already a bit worried that Blake Baker will get poached after this season with how improved our defense will be. If Cook can get the ball out quickly and accurately, and keep defenses honest with his legs, 7-5 is the floor.

I wish I was as confident as the rest of you. I'm thinking 5-7 or 6-6. But I hope you guys are right especially I haven't followed the off-season that much. Last season was so disappointing I needed a break from following Mizzou football.

I hope they come out fired up next weekend and the rest of the season.

Vanderbilt looked good yesterday, and they've gotten us when we are down. Thats a game that we cannot overlook.

We can not overlook any game. Even La Tech, we must prepare like every team we're going to be playing against is Bama.
