Anyone watch last night? Thoughts? I thought it felt like the old school Game of Thrones before the writers ruined it.

It was a much better production than anything in Season 8 of GoT imo

I’d even say season 7 too. This series has the potential to be very good. I was definitely a skeptic, but so far so good.

I think they're building another great show, just hope they can land the plane when it comes time to end it.

It’s based on one of George RR Martin’s books. If precedent holds, that would make me think this will be the only season.

They set the characters to be a little younger than the book counter-parts
I think they'll try to get a few seasons off of this, just based off how much they're spending per episode. Seems like they're making a sizable investment into this show giving them a few good years.

This is actually going to be better than GOT because this story is the dance of dragons which is written and finished unlike GOT. So we all know how house of the dragon will end kinda

I rewatched the episode for that exact reason. Same thing happened with GoT. Makes everything make so much more sense the second time through when you know who everyone is.
