the intro song really lost it's prestige when CBS Sports Network started using it for Mountain West Conference games and the like on Thursday nights.

Those bumpers with Verne saying something awesome while slow motion video and a truncated version of that theme played. Goosebumps.

People need to remember the intro song originated with the NFL during Super Bowl XXI.
