The stats don't back that up though.
Bennett and Hooker were almost identical in passing this past year (Both took their time becoming starters... in the end Hooker had only 20 more pass attempts). Hooker ran more often but Bennett did more with each rush attempt.
Tillman and Bowers are pretty similar statistically as well. Bowers had 60 touches for 938 yards and 14 TD. Tillman had 64 touches for 1081 yards and 12 TD.
And frankly... Jabari Small doesn't impress me. His stand out games last year (over 50 yards total rushing and receiving) were against Bowling Green, Ole Miss, South Alabama, Vandy, Florida, Kentucky and Purdue. For McIntosh... a 3rd string player, he topped 50 yards against Arkansas, Tennessee, Charleston Southern and GT. McIntosh had 6 TD's compared to 9 for Small. 570 yards in 80 touches compared to 873 yards in 150 touches. Given the opportunities... McIntosh has played better.
People are overlooking what UGA's offensive players did because the defense was so dominant. But when you actually do look at the stats... UGA was pretty good offensively last year. There's a reason they were 4th in the nation in yards gained per offensive play run and 10th in the nation in scoring offense.
The stats more than back that that up. Hooker was better than Bennett in every category while playing fewer games and having a severe disadvantage in OL & skill talent. Tennessee's offense was better than Georgia's in every category as well.
Passing:
Hooker: 2,945 yards in 12 games played
Bennett: 2,862 yards in 13 games played
Rushing:
Hooker: 613 yards
Bennett: 259 yards
Completion Percentage:
Hooker: 68%
Bennett: 64.5%
TD / Int ratio:
Hooker: 31 touchdowns / 3 int's
Bennett: 29 touchdowns / 7 int's
Passing yards per game:
Hooker: 226.5 ypg
Bennett: 204.4 ypg
Rushing yards per game:
Hooker: 47.15 ypg
Bennett: 18.5 ypg
Overall Offensive Production:
Total Offense:
Tennessee: 9th in the country
Georgia: 25th in the country
Scoring Offense:
Tennessee: 7th in the country
Georgia: 9th in the country
Passing Offense:
Tennessee: 39th in the country
Georgia: 51st in the country
Rushing Offense:
Tennessee: 12th in the country
Georgia: 26th in the country
Tillman had 1,081 yards in 13 games.
Bowers had 882 yards in 15 games.
Tennessee is better than Georgia in every offensive metric out there. Team wise, Quarterback wise, Wide Receiver wise, etc. RB is debatable. All the while having significantly less talent on the LOS to protect Hooker. And this was in year 1 of a brand new coach installing his system. And had his best offensive players transfer out before the year started and being down 20 scholarships. Tennessee's roster was held together with duck tape and glue last season and was still one of the best offenses in the country. Quite literally better than Georgia's in every recorded metric

You do realize that all of your metrics fall apart when splitting first half stats and comparing them.
Outside of the post season, Stetson attempted 9 passes in the 4th quarter all season (about 1 per start).

Your metrics dont account for us having enormous leads and calling off the Dawgs.
Stetson>Hooker.
Stetson>Hooker.

I guess reading comprehension isn't a great skill of yours?
Or maybe you didn't read where I talked about how running more plays doesn't make a player (or offense) better. It's what you do with each play that matters.
So here are some "by play" stats for you.
First for the team:
UGA yards per play in 2021 - 6.98
UT - 6.47
UGA rushing yards per carry - 5.26
UT - 4.91
UGA yards per pass attempt - 9.28
UT - 8.91
UGA was better at running the ball and throwing the ball... which made them better overall. Yes we ran less plays because we had huge leads against teams in the second half and ran out the clock to end the game rather than running more plays to get more stats. But that's not relevant as to how good the offense was. The per play statistics show that.
Same with Hooker and Bennett.
Hooker had 9.7 yards per pass attempt. Bennett had 10 yards per pass attempt. Hooker had 3.7 yards per carry. Bennett had 4.6.
Doing something more often doesn't mean you're better at it.
Now Bowers and Tillman are pretty close. Bowers had more TD per touch, Tillman had more yards per touch. Neither was that far off the other. But Bowers being a TE while doing that makes a big difference for me... which is why he was an all-american and Tillman wasn't.

Yet the Vols still go 7-5 with a blowout loss to UGA.

What about offensive efficiency?

If only there was a way we could compare the two head to head. This game was in Knoxville. Be sure to check out those rushing stats for the QBs as well.
UGA at UT 2021
UGA at UT 2021
