The moral outrage from a few of you is beautiful irony, coming from SEC schools. Been to a lot of SEC games and heard the word used with abandon in the stands from white folk. They weren’t reading off an iPad. 99 percent of the stands would be empty if they cancelled everyone that’s used the word in jest. Or singing a song on the radio. “But, but I didn’t say it in front of black people.”

Its a freaking word , my goodness if it was so bad why does every black person call each other that every other word. Oh because they don't put a r on it. This fricking world is full dumb arse people. This whole country is full of pussy men who get offended if there feelings get hurt. You think everyone of those football players haven't called a white person a cracker or honky at some point.

I have been going to SEC football games since we joined the league, I have NEVER heard it shouted in the stands. Stop making shite up.

There's a huge double standard here. It would seem that majority of blacks really have no problem with the word... it's the woke whites that have issues. Reading a word that black culture uses doesn't make him a racist.

You are either lying or this is a Chokelahoma thing. I have gone to several games a year for many years and have never heard any "white folk" or anybody else use the N word during a game.
I agree that this does not deserve ending a good man's great career but there are some things you can't do as an educator and a coach. The problem is that many find the word very offensive whether they are on the team or not.
