Why don't we just let their record speak for itself? And be done with this nonsense.

When you think of Pittman bringing Arky out of the abyss, it makes sense where he is at 1.

Imagine, if you will, a program so terrible a coach getting them to .500 in league play in year two is seen as an elite accomplishment.

Imagine trending downward

I'm thinking Sparty might not end up getting the better end of Mel Tucker's astronomical contract.
I still can't believe the deal and extension they gave him. It's not like Dantonio left the cupboard bare.

Pittman has done nothing short of miracles in his time in Fayetteville. That program was beyond the level of a dumpster fire when he took them over. He immediately made them competitive despite their perceived talent deficiencies.

I've seen Auburn win multiple national championships in my lifetime, play for others, go undefeated multiple times. Trending downward for sure but at least I know the day will come when we will rise again, and by rise I don't mean peaking out at the Outback Bowl.
ETA: I actually like Pittman a lot, it's just a shame he's stuck at Arkansas.

What has Ryan Day accomplished? Also, Arky seems to have gotten lucky with Pittman as no one else wanted the job and he’s done well, but I’m not convinced he’ll be able to get them over the hump

If you've seen Auburn win multiple national championships, you're old as frick. You should probably get off the internet and spend what little time you have left with your family and friends.
Also, 2009 called and wants its argument back. You know, back when people argued on this board whether Arkansas or Auburn was the better program. That debate has been settled.

34-4
Two B1G championships
Two playoff appearances
One CFP final appearance
Pretty darn good start to a career

Mel Tucker
Way too high. Michigan State was 100% fool's gold last season. I think he's a decent coach who caught lightning in a bottle with Kenneth Walker's magic carpet ride season.

I still don't understand the Mel Tucker ranking at #2. He did not inherit a bad program. Actually, he inherited the opposite: a stable, talented roster where redshirts and upperclassmen were prioritized.
If anything, tPittBoss and Kiffin should be #1 and #2. We all know how bad Chad Morris was. Kiffin inherited a bad team coming off of probation, unlike Day and Tucker.
Hell, Aranda took over a Baylor program that, while on probation, still won 11 games the year before he became the head man (2019). Meanwhile, neither Arkansas nor Ole Miss had made a bowl game since 2015 when tPittboss and Kiffin took over.

Aranda has been an amazing get for Baylor. That man is a good egg.
Surprised Traylor wasn't on the list as well.
