I know I know it’s not about LSU. We talk about Louisiana players leaving home, take a look at this.. Particularly coming off a NC. Kirby will always have DUDES but I thought this was interesting! The state of Georgia is so damn deep with talent. We need to plant a flag!

Bama, just sickening how they recruit. Hope I live long enough to see him retire. Starting to wonder if I’m not going from God green earth 1st.

Y’all recruit well nationally, but having only 4 of the top 20 players in state is a bad look no matter how you slice it. Especially if you consider how long Kirby has been there and coming off the natty.

State had 4 5 stars in 2022, 1 in 2023. State has 6 top 100 players in 2023, had 9 in 2022.

That said we definitely wanted 2 of the 3 Bama got out of GA.

Kirby has made it pretty clear that this is overrated.

ETA: if reports are true that some GA HS coaches are frustrated that Kirby took a bunch of out of state kids the past few years, that’s their own problem.

The safety today may have been the biggest yet, or in a number of years. Bama's safety play has dropped dramatically over the last 3 years or since Minkah Fitz left and we needed a playmaker. Not a good run support guy but a
Minkah or Robert Lester type roaming the secondary that just hasn't been there. Not having that playmaker at the safetey spot cost us in 2019 and 2021. You saw the Middle screens UGA ran and NOBODY at safety doing anything. This was a priority and fully expect Caleb, I think, to play right away.

And for the record, had Bama agreed to let Buck Belue play baseball, Bama wins the 1980 national title

Lol, Buck Belue? I could have handed the ball off the Herschel and won the NC. I think he had one completion in the NCG

No shite. That’s why I said which ones outside of the top two. Who else is disappointing to miss?

Georgia is one of the few states where a majority of the upper level players can leave and UGA will still be able to field an elite squad with the talent behind them. I don't think UGA fans have anything to worry about especially when it comes to recruiting.

Meh, maybe. He doesn’t play a position of need this year. I think we’ll be okay.

From the other site, we are higher on a couple of other guys, and didn't push for Burley. I saw this mentioned before Burley committed, fwiw.

Uga has a loaded class, so this post is kind of pointless.

In 2019, Georgia took the top 2 recruits from the state of Alabama, George Pickins and Clay Webb.

Again Kirby is a damn good recruiter.. But to be the reigning champs and the Top 4 players in your state (for the next cycle) going elsewhere….that’s wild.
