Fayetteville is the best road trip in the SEC for football/baseball/basketball IMO.

Its really crazy. No one wants to leave NWA once they have lived there. Just an awesome area.

Ehh the gameday atmosphere is kinda softcore. Not a lot of good tailgating.

Been to two razor back games with razor back fans and we just sat in the parking lot by the truck. Not much going on. I'm sure it's probably more rowdy on fraternity row but not sure it that is close to stadium or not.

Tailgating is ok. The problem for tailgating in Fayetteville is the terrain around the stadium.
There are several areas that does have great tailgating, you just have to know where to find them.
Also, Dickson St. has a great gameday atmosphere and is only a 10 minute walk to the stadium.

Had to have been during the Morris era. It's not that bad for pre game atmosphere.

Love Fayetteville it’s less 3 hours from Stillwater. Saw Garth there this year too. Our fraternity also went to Row Week there several years ago, need more home & homes with them.

The problem is the atmosphere during the Morris era and the atmosphere during the Texas game last year are worlds apart. One was one of the worst in college football but I'd put that UT game last season up against any in college football.
We just haven't been good consistently enough to have it for every game I guess. Dickson was on fire all weekend for Texas.

They use to allow tailgating around old main and it was trashed up one game. After that it is off limits.

I love visiting NWA. The rest of Arkansas is a different matter

Bert had it injected into his veins to make sure he never went sober.

Campus is too hilly for one contiguous area to spring up. Fraternity Row is segmented, with about half of them being along Stadium Drive and the other half on Arkansas Ave near Dickson Street. Either way, none of the lots are very large, and most of them drop off steep on one side or the other.
There are some cool hillsides with different tailgating atmospheres. the best collection is probably east of the stadium in the TreeFort area. Like a little Machu Pichu terraced tailgating area, and off into the woods.
There's an area down south of Bud Walton that is nice and flat that has a lot of tailgating, but rather than go there, I usually just drink on Dickson (you can carry your drinks around in the street) and walk over the hill past Old Main to the stadium. It's like 10 minutes.

Down voters are fatasses that are taking statins. Have some more McDonalds.

Looks at the sides of the stadium. Those dorms on McElroy Hill on the left (buff/pale brick part of campus). When you are by those dorms, you are looking down on the stadium. The lower deck is sunken down some, but its still pretty damn tall. You basically drop off a cliff from those dorms, then hit Frat Row, and roll down another steep hill to the stadium.
ETA: The views south of town from those tall dorms is pretty stunning. You just see the Ozarks stretching out into the horizon.

The pit and poultry science lawn were solid SEC level during Nutt and Petrino.
Final days of Bert and Chad really killed things, will take some time to recover but it can be great under the right conditions.
Nothing in the SEC can touch Dickson post game after a big win though.

Would have been the Tits if you had worn a sweater vest and a clip on bow tie, Amorite?

People will screech at me, once again, but NW Arkansas is a decent place to visit but a tremendous place to live.
It is just that nice of place to live in. For a visiting fan of another team, if you come up for one day it will be fine. If you come up for a couple of days it will be wonderful. If you stay longer than that we won't get you out with dynamite.

The walk up that hill in winter to get to class was brutal.

Walking up that hill still wasn’t as bad as walking down it after missing 3 FGs and holding a L
