Do you think USC/UCLA was in response to Tx./Ok. & the SEC to 16 teams?
Or is there more to it?
Or is there more to it?

No It’s just a coincidence. How dense are you?

Yes.
It’s just that, like most times concerning college football, the ACC/big10/pac/big12 are ALWAYS waiting, due to fear.
Then the sec says, “hey watch this” and it works. Then the Johnny come latelys hatch a plan.
Even more hilarious is how they had The Alliance press conference then poached each other.

I've read numerous interviews with Kevin Warren. He makes no bones about it, he wants to position the B1G as much more than an athletics conference. He wants to use it as a political and social influencing entity. To that end, I believe he's trying to build a national conference.
And although he's never said it publicly, I believe he absolutely hates the SEC for their refusal to join him in shutting down college football post Covid. Warren wanted to make a statement. Sankey ruined his big day.
That he was willing to gut the PAC-12, which has always been an ally of the Big10 going back to the fallout from the SEC and others forming the CFA and taking the NCAA to court over TV revenue, shows just how desperate Warren is to accomplish his goal.

Yes. They are scared.

The B1G does not react or respond. It sets the pace.

Like when the B1G tried to cancel the 2020 season?

You keep telling yourself that!

Until they pout and sit down for COVID, and three other conferences led by the SEC tell them "fine, we're playing, nobody needs you". Then the B1G set a frantic pace, like their arse was on fire and their hair was catching, to get back onto the field.

LOL. Your footprint is in states where people are leaving in droves. Can’t wait til Cali forces you to fly team out in an electric plane.

This coming from a fan of a fly over state?
The B1G is in control of the top 3 biggest markets, in the entertainment and media capitols of the world and that is where the advertisers and money is.

What was that statement supposed to be?

You might have teams in the three biggest markets, but I will guarantee you those markets would rather be watching SEC football than that shite y'all play.

I believe it was multi-purposed. Firstly, it was political. He wanted to ratchet up unhappiness, pre-election. The guy is on record that he wants to use the B1G as a tool to effect political and social change.
Secondly, it was a power move that backfired. He hoped that, by the B1G leading a boycott of football, that he could position himself as a national power player. Sankey had other ideas.

Nonsense, the networks know their trade and they are putting their money on the B1G. The B1G is branding itself as the national league and all others as regional. Everyone can have their say but the B1G will control college athletics when this is over.

I'd say you're delusional, Buckl, but since you've already branded yourself an Ohio State fan - why be repetitive ?

Nobody cares about the big ten

Advertisers spend their money on winners and the SEC controls that.

You have to win National Championships to be a National league. The ONLY league that controls the majority of the National Championships in the top 4 sports sets the pace for the Nation and that is the SEC. Viewers watch championship teams not social butterflies.
