Was browsing the recruiting rankings and noticed that the state of Alabama is loaded this year. I'm far from a recruiting guru, but I imagine this is not too common. 7 out of the top 10 are 5 stars.

Looking at the [link=(rankings)]https://247sports.com/Season/2023-Football/CompositeRecruitRankings/?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool&State=AL[/link], it looks like Bama is in good shape for majority of these recruits. I also see A&M/UGA/UF/Clemson in the hunt. Not seeing AU much at all.

Anyone want to take a guess on where the top 10 is going?

Current Commits:
1) James Smith - TBD
2) Tony Mitchell - UA
3) Jahlil Hurley - UA
4) Peter Woods - TBD
5) AJ Harris - UGA
6) Jaquavious Russaw - TBD
7) Christopher Vizzina - Clemson
8) Kelby Collins - TBD
9) Tomarrion Parker - Penn State
10) Wilkin Formby - UA

I guess we will see. But the next Thompson kid that doesn’t choose Alabama would be the first.

They are not the package deal they’ve been billed as.

Honestly, I had not heard that they were a package deal. Package deal so rarely work out, I'm not sure there is any such thing any way.

They are both really good players and whoever gets either one of them will be very fortunate.

Don’t see Mitchell leaving Alabama unless there’s a big NIL deal. Auburn might have a 10% shot at Russaw only because it can legit offer him immediate playing time. I hate that Auburn has such turmoil in a year this loaded in Alabama.

I wouldn’t even count Auburn in there, he likes Zac Etheridge but he didn’t include them in his initial top group.
