Did lsu choose to play some non night games on its own before the SEC CBS contract? Yes

However, once the original CBS contract was signed lsu lost the right to choose. And it pissed lsu off, and nobody gave a frick about it besides lsu fans. Finally, around 2015, they amended the contract for LSU and protected our night games to a certain extent

All this thread is making me do is lament for the game I fell in love with, which I truly felt was something passed down to me by birthright.

At least there are like-minded individuals on this website who I can reminisce with.

Honest question, in the days before message boards and twitter, did the rest of the conference really know about it (I'm talking fans, not administrators)? There was a lot more insulation back then.
