Saban was in a private setting (allegedly)

This has been conveniently ignored. If Nick Saban is correct in claiming this, the fault lies wholly on the person who violated the trust of everyone in that room just to record a speech that was, again, to a private audience.
Saban vs Jimbo aside, the recorder guy is the biggest POS in this whole situation.

Shouldn't be that hard to ID the guy.

Saban has been doing this too long, and is too detail-oriented, for me to really believe that.
But who knows?
But who knows?

Hopefully he faces charges. Maybe the REC can get involved…

Where's a link to a quote from Saban saying it was private?
Either post a link to a Saban quote, or just admit that you're a dumbass troll.

We don’t live in a bubble.
If you’re in front of a crowd, you should expect someone to share your words.
This is reality these days.

I heard the guy who made the initial tweet on the radio yesterday. He said Al.com and the Tuscaloosa News had reporters there and there were multiple camera crews, he just happened to be lucky enough to have his rolling at the very end.
No way Saban thought this wouldn’t get out.

Of course he knew it was going to get out. It was a public event. OP is dumb.

I don’t know when speaking on stage in front of a hundred plus people is private.

Saban isn’t that stupid, or he’s going senile

You've got to be kidding.
When you speak in front of a crowd, especially one where you're holding a microphone and there are cameras present, you better expect that your words will be broadcast to the world.

That is his style.
He makes a wild, baseless comment. It hits the sports world (Finebaum is the main drum beater) and it spreads like wildfire. He then contacts (usually a phone call) the person he defamed and says his comments were taken out of context etc.
This time Jimbo refused his phone call and Dion called him out.
ie The smart ones have figured him out and his mojo is gone.
It was a good run.

Would think so as well. Even if it was private vs public, he has to know comments would eventually get circulated, he knew what he was doing.

Nick Saban knew exactly what he was doing and as per usual, this time next year everyone will thank him for triggering the change we all want to see or they'll be wishing he just kept his mouth shut.
This NIL shite will be brought under some sorta control or Nick Saban will do what he always does. Use this to his advantage and beat everyone about the head and face with it.
Every off season The Man gives us all fair warning about some shite. People point, laugh and say this will be what finally drives him out and the following season, he's fricking everyone up with the exact thing he wants to get rid of.
Folks need to give up any fantasy they're dealing with another Bryant, Bowden or Paterno here.

He has violated the trust of college football for years.
Look how many young men at other programs were fricked out a chance at a championship because that sawed=off cocksucker was paying a pro team.

And he just keeps winning. He continues to be adored. And he will always be thought of as the greatest.
It's all just so unfair.

If Saban thought this was a "private" setting in today's world, he's dumber than a box of rocks. He's won 7 titles. I don't think he's dumb.

I have been able to attend a couple of private booster events where Saban was the featured speaker. He can be surprisingly candid and forthright....and is much more loose and charming in private. So these comments don't surprise me.
