Everyone is (rightfully) laughing at Alabama and Texas A&M for the shitstorm of potential issues these flying accusations could cause for both programs, but a small detail flying under the radar is Jimbo's accusation that Saban was doing shady things while Jimbo worked under him. While it's easy to default to receiving that information and applying it to issues for Alabama, there's a small problem.

Jimbo worked under Saban at LSU, not Alabama.

In the midst of this Alabama-A&M shootout, poor LSU might catch a stray bullet if the NCAA comes knocking on Jimbo's door asking for him to elaborate on that point.

I'm sure the NCAA will go after Saban based on a few unsubstantiated words about something nonspecific that happened 20 yrs ago.

I'm not predicting anything. I'm just saying the LSU faithful might want to start attending church more often for a while.

CFB fans dwelling on cheating programs and mentioning NCAA violations are worse than the LGBT crowd

College athletics are finished

It’s semi-pro in every sport now

Just grow up and move on

Two high profile coaches hurling accusations publicly at one another isn't fans dwelling on it.

Thanks for letting us know you're grumpy and old, though.

Yeah. I wonder who the LSU president was at that time. NCAA ban hammer coming. No doubt….

What happened at LSU 20 years ago is probably without a paper trail. If the NCAA wants to poke around anything, it’ll be the programs currently coached by the two children arguing. Sanctions might come down by 2035.

I haven’t kept up with any opinions on this site, but it’s hilarious how Jimbo keeps getting baited into embarrassing himself.

I`m an LSU fan and I`m not naive enough to believe
that we haven`t cheated in recruiting. Having said that
ALA ,and A@M always have brought it to a different level.
The fact that both programs have been sanctioned in the
past prove it. If you look mat the history of the A@M
program every time they have been really successful they
got in trouble with the NCAA. A@M under Emory Bellard and
Stallings,Jackie Sherrill all got popped after they had
success.

Suffocate on your own spit more than likely. These threads give ample opportunity for you to drool all over your keyboard rather than waterboard yourself.

You're welcome.
