"One of the things I'd like to see us be able to work back to is everything in college football has always had parity," Saban said. "Same scholarships, same academic support, healthcare, whatever it is. I don't think we have that balance right now, which can affect the parity of college football and college athletics as a whole."

What about this statement do people not understand or believe?
The only way an ultra elite coach like Saban will lose with any consistency is with an unlevel playing field, so why would he NOT want parity?

He had parity when he coached in the NFL. How did that work out for him?

It’s because he’s being hypocritical. Alabama’s football budget dwarfs entire conferences. How the frick is parity possible when certain schools have better resources than the NFL. If you’re going to preach for parity, be willing to give up what you have.

& im not saying anything what Bama (or any of the traditional powers) is doing is wrong. It’s just the reality of the situation. The big dogs will always be the big dogs.

Let's pretend that the REC wasn't about 4 decades ahead of NIL on buying players. There never was parity and he damn well knows it.

Well, he surely wasn’t bitching about this before NIL and is full of shite saying he wants parity, when we saw all those number one recruiting classes get him so many championships. Oops, the Aggies go and steal that #1 class with the new rules. And now he wants parity! He can frick off

I don't believe this:
"college football has always had parity"

If that's the case, why did Saban leave MSU?
