The reason yall forfeited is because schlossgaggle is afraid he'd lose.
We have no problem beating Lsu, Arkansas, Vandy, Georgia, tu, South Carolina, DBU, TX ST, etc but are worried about losing to a 17-28 team who has lost 9 fo their last 10. You're not that dumb, are you?

That is one hell of an honest answer by their coach

why schedule a team like that this late in the season then?
I know hes a new coach and mightve inherited the schedule, but if RPI is the name of the game then why even schedule such a bad team in a "lose/lose" situation?
Play the schedule in front of you, weak AF to cancel, RPI situation or not.
Aggie gonna Aggie.

Yeah, I am having a hard time defending this bitch-out.
If you can't scrape together the guts to beat the shite outta IW maybe hosting is not your bag.

Did you forfeit or not?
Obviously not. IW agreed not to play.

Wait, so why did we cancel?

See, THIS is reasonable . If you guys weren't going so hard to defend this it would have been a quick thread but now you've drawn the hatred of the entire rant

Tamu cancels final midweek game vs Incarnate Word

I am not all that certain RPI even matters. The NCAA will find a way to frick US OVER, so why not just BEAT THE CAT frick outta IW as a preemptive measure, then when the snub inevitably comes (it will because frick THE NCAA) then physically beat the fricking shite out of every opponent.

But why?
Because it’s a bitch move. Your options were to play the game like any other midweek game getting guys off the bench reps and resting the regulars or doing it the TAMU way. Use your bench to beat a cupcake, your woman’s sports have bigger balls then the mens AD.

You have to remember that Schloss is new. He is not used to the in-your-face snubbing the NCAA typically hands Aggy. He thinks he will actually help his position.
Everybody knows it doesn't matter. The NCAA will frick us over. We have to literally, physically BEAT THE frick out of everyone we play or they will find an excuse to shite on us.
Schloss will soon learn.

Absolutely insane that he admitted that. Just pay IW to say that they had car troubles and cant make it
Posted on 5/12/22 at 2:48 pm to Farmer1906
With a little extra added on to the check to not play.

LSU and A&M in a similar hosting spot going into the last 2 weeks.
A&M cancels game vs. Incarnate Word (195 RPI - per D1)
LSU will play Northwestern St (215 RIP - per D1)
One team runs away, the other doesn't.
Par for the course.

A&M cancels, stays the same in the RPI, hosts.
The team with the better record gets rewarded in this potential scenario because of how the RPI is flawed.
A&M hosting or not hosting will not be decided whatsoever by whether or not they play Incarnate Word. It will be decided based upon how they finish the SEC schedule. Every team plays bullshite opponents like them. The committee doesn't care about those games, and Schloss should know that by now. Cancelling the game is ridiculous. Why schedule the game at all if you're only going to cancel. Or maybe everyone should just choose not to play midweek games at all or any of the early season OOC series, can only hurt the RPI afterall
Cancelling, to me, sends the message that he's afraid of losing the game late in the season and doesn't want it to hurt their chances to host. That's not going to inspire confidence with anyone making selections in a couple weeks.

See, Aggy has already turned this embarrassment into not only a brag, but shame on anyone who questions their brilliant move. It should count as a loss.
Aggy should be embarrassed, but anyone who’d squeeze their business in public isn’t capable of being embarrassed.
