it's baseball, dude. Oklahoma State has already lost two Q3 games. Shitty teams beat good teams all the time. So yeah, I do think Schloss was worried about possibly losing to a bad team and it hurting A&M's RPI

Appears to be mutual. UIW would be playing something like 5 games in 6 days if they want to make a regional.

Why not just use the game as a tune-up? Work out some kinks and just add to W column.

I agree.
Schloss just doesn't understand yet. There is no getting ahead with any selection committee.
We should use some of that NIL money to instead make some people disappear.

Tuesdays game would've been UIWs final game before the conference tourney on the 19th. They'd have to win the tourney to make a regional. I'm assuming they are wanting to save their pitching/not risk injury in the event they make deep run.
