Ole Miss Notes

LEADING OFF
• Playing in its penultimate midweek game, Ole Miss squares off against Southern Miss for the second time this season.
• The Rebels will look to avenge the 10-7 loss to the Golden Eagles earlier in the season at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi.
• Ole Miss is making its first trip to Hattiesburg since 2019, a 3-5 win for Southern Miss.

PACK SWAYZE
Ole Miss ranks fourth in the nation in both total and average attendance this season. In the 25 home games this season available in the most recent data, 253,903 total fans have packed the stands at Swayze Field, good for an average of 10,156 per game.

CONSISTENCY IS KEY
Ole Miss is one of five programs to host at least 10 NCAA Regional appearances since 2004, joining Florida State, Florida, LSU and North Carolina. The Rebels are also one of eight programs to earn at least five regional hosting bids since 2014, being joined by Florida State, Florida, LSU, Louisville, TCU, Vanderbilt and Texas Tech.

I expect Ole Miss to win but this could be one of those annoying midweek games against an instate mid major team. This games means the world to Southern Miss. For Ole Miss, probably not so much. I remember when a going through the motions Arkansas team dropped a stinker to UA-Little Rock. You have to be careful in these games.

Gator, you do a good job on this site keeping everyone informed about this and that. While my baseball is down this year, I still like knowing about the stuff you post. You do the work so we don't have to lol.
