A one-year extension to the current probationary period (through April 2023).
A $10,000 fine.
A one-year show-cause order for the football head coach, plus a five-day suspension from all coaching duties during the championship segment of the 2022 football season.
A reduction of the number of football countable coaches by one for two days of practice during the spring 2022 season.
All noncoaching staff members will be removed from practice and competition for five consecutive days during the championship segment of the 2022 season.

The wording was a little odd in this.

I did it here because it shows NCAA penalty mindset. With Tennessee and LSU still awaiting NCAA rulings I deemed it germane and appropriate for the SEC board.

The key is to lead off your post with "Check in if..." They can't get enough of that shite here.

NCAA penalty mindset

My biggest issue with the NCAA is that there is no penalty mindset.

Their punishments are capricious and unpredictable.

You have no idea what you're going to get from them.

I'm just going to say, if you get dinged again while on probation they need to drop the hammer on you. Because systematic abuse of the rules is pretty much a program cheating year after year.

Knock off ten scholarships. Have them stay at home the next post season no matter their record. If you want folks to take the NCAA rules seriously... well treat the repeat offenders seriously.

Wasn’t this all because a “analyst” provided coaching at a practice or a film study? Seems like something pretty minor.
