Any W over a Vandy baseball club is a good one.

Corbin infuriates me for some reason. He almost took the AU job before we settled for Slater.

He’s good tho. They’ve missed on the long ball which has hurt them the last two yrs

He's Baird-like, which I would guess is why Baird/AU pursued him. Also a good pedigree beginning at Clemson under Leggett. However, I can't help but think that having the equivalent of 35 full scholarships at Vandy every year impacts his success. If people really understood what Thompson has to compete against - and Bohannon at Alabama - I think more people would be impressed. The whole 11.7/Title IX situation is absurd.

Agree. In Ga, they sign so many every yr and use the Hope as scholarship. It’s like old days Bama football prior to scholarship limits

Mark Fuller is the color man tonight on SECN+. Loving it. I love his insight.

Walks are going to lead to my early demise. We gave up 8 last night and Mullins had 5.

I really don't understand using Swilling when we are down three runs. It burns him for the weekend and he's proven effective.

We've got to get better perfomances out of our starting pitching. When you only get 3 or 4 innings, when you're bullpen outside of a couple guys is very bad, is unacceptable.

Learn about 11.7 and what Auburn is competing against in the SEC.

Believe me I know. But we've gotten 4.1 and 3.1 innings out of our starters this weekend. Unacceptable no matter the circumstances.

Agree. Walks are killing us. At some point you just have to say dead red in the zone and see what happens. That would be .300. With walks its 1.000. It makes my heart bleed. I'm shocked that Thompson tolerates all the walks.

That double in his first at-bat never got 15 feet off the ground.

Its a joy to watch Gonzalez pitch and listen to Mark Fuller on the commentary and explain his arm slot and the movement he gets out of his two-seamer. Baird changed Tim Hudson's arm slot when he got to AU from CVCC and the rest is history. Vandy is just as good at the plate as LSU and Gonzalez is taking care of business thus far.

I don't know much about him but a Sunday starter going this deep against vandy is impressive

Mark Fuller is borderline aggravating with his good ole days preaching.

Another series win. Can’t say this team is boring in any way.

What’s the win total in conference to expect a bid? 18? To host a regional 20+?

The pitching meltdowns are killing me. Two games against Ole Miss looked like football scores and yesterday did as well.

What a gem by Gonzalez. If he can bring that sink and control every series its even money we win the series. I think if we have a winning SEC record we host a regional, maybe borderline for a Super, IMO.

Well I got my wish after complaining about starting pitching yesterday lol. Gonzalez and Sonny were awesome today.
