Dear Dipshits,

As long as you actually keep requiring people to pay for a subscription to read an online obituary, I will double up on my refusal to not ever subscribe to your stupid online newspaper.

It's not your reader's faults that you've hired shitty writers for the past four decades and lost your shirts financially.

Your friend,

Well, one way all y'all can help toward making more news more accessible is to stop the standard sports message board practice of someone with a subscription sharing paywalled material. Help the news organizations become more viable, and it becomes easier to make some types of news available to all.

Not sayin' any of y'all have stolen from media companies — which is what that is — but many, many, many on these boards do.

And, yeah, I work in the business, and, yeah, I subscribe to the DemGaz, though much of it is worthless to me.

Cut them some slack, HRV. WEHCO is probably hanging on by a thread.

Nah, never mind. Give ‘em hell.

I just watch the university put out YouTube videos. All the writers do is regurgitate their notes from that anyways. Hardly any actual reporting or fact finding going on that isn't university sponsored anyways....

I refuse to subscribe to a worthless service.

So, they have something you want, but you think you should get it for free?

How many newspapers do you think are doing well in this day and age? They are closing down all over the place. They have been replaced by hyper partisan, clickbait websites. The Dem Gazette isn’t perfect, but I wonder who will do obituaries if they close down.

I just now read a few stories in the Tennessean. I wonder how that happened?

Then a popup told me I could get the Tennessean for 2 years for $22. Sounds like a good deal, and they weren't petty about it. I wonder how that happens?
