Edson Barboza is an excellent striker. I'm not sure how he will fare in this one.

If he can take Edson down he wins. If Edson stuffs his takedowns and it becomes a striking fight he has no chance.

Beat the shite out of him striking, on the ground and everything in between. Then prayed over him.

I was kinda worried about this one, but that little sumbitch is a bad man. For real student of the game.

The leg kicks is all Barboza had. That's it.

I couldn't believe how easy he took him down. I'm sure they watched the Khabib match all camp long. They both looked almost exactly the same, and Barboza was a bloody mess after both of them.

I don't think there's a better grappler at 145, but the top of that division is absolutely loaded with the likes of Holloway, Volkanovski, Kattar, Yair Rodriguez and others.

He's 15-0 not 14-1

The one that you're referring to was an Ultimate Fighter exhibition loss to Brad Katona

They were comparing him to Khabib on the ground… I wouldn’t go there, but he is pretty dangerous there.

I saw that last night during his post fight interview. Dana White stepped up to the plate also. Big fricking kudos to Thug Nasty, and to Dana White.

he also became a hero on world affairs in the post-fight interview

this kid is well schooled on what it means to be a human being and to not go rushing in with idiots wanting war and wanting our nation going to war

love the kid - can't wait to meet him, and I will

I don't even give a shite about this MMA fighting - I'm a boxin fan

MMA, UFC, I don't even know the difference, and don't give a shite. Proud of this young man for the man he is

Dana knows what he’s got in Bryce. A good old red neck country boy who resonates a ton of the people who watch UFC. That fight likely bumped Brice up into a title type contender.

MMA is the sport like Football.
UFC is the organization like NFL.

And the ways it beats boxing is no dodging. You can’t go 30-0 fighting scrubs. If you are good Dana makes you fight good people. Also bad because if Dana hates you, you get fricked.

thanks for the education on it

my only remembrance of it was when I was living in a large city away from Arkansas in 2007, and my favorite bar there had a fricktillion TV's going on Saturday so I could catch the Arkansas football game and all the SEC and get drunk and walk back to my apartment without driving.

then one day I walked in on Saturday and they stopped me and said, "Uh, sir, it's a cover charge today. No college football, just MMA on every TV"

thus my grudge
