Perhaps a different story. OU won earlier in the year vs. the Hogs, 88-66 in Tulsa. Sooners just won by 15 over #9 TTU. Cannot figure this team out. They get obliterated by Auburn. Hogs just defeated Auburn. Perhaps Arkansas is better now than earlier in the season and OU is still a “talented drunk” with an identity problem. Who knows….that’s basketball. Probably wouldn’t want to face the Hogs in BW considering that hellacious environment.

If we played at Auburn, we lose. But we are definitely a different team now, and I would like our odds against Oklahoma in a rematch.

Yeah, we are playing better. The team has finally turned up the intensity on defense. IMO, we still have to work too hard to make shots. We are an average shooting team and we get to the FT line a lot.

OU spanked us pretty good that day.

Took some time for this team to figure out an identity. Neutral site game like Tulsa would definitely be closer.

It isn't obvious by the run they are currently on?

They are playing really good ball and Notae is a scoring machine.

I just wish he had the 2.00 to get in the YMCA to play when he was a kid, who knows how weak his game could have been today? Maybe he only scores 15-20 vs Auburn and not the 28?

Our team figured out that averaging 20 turnovers a game isn’t part of the Purnell’s Country Sausage keys to the game

You know your posts still belong on the MSB for now?

This. It's been the identity of Musselman's teams since he took the job.

He's a great coach and absent some unforeseen circumstance, he's probably going to be there a while. And while he is, they will always be a tough out from February on each season.

Arkansas is on fire but I agree with your comment about not figuring out this team. I would not like our chances today against the Hogs. I believe we play next year too. Arkansas has a really strong crop of players coming in.

OU caught us at teh perfect time to give them a chance.

OFC would destroy them now.

As folks have pointed out... its become a habit of Muss at Arkansas that we start off shaky and then finish strong. It would be nice to skip that shaky start thank you.

As to beating Oklahoma right now, I would say that depends on where the game is played. Right now Arkansas can beat anyone in BWA unless we have complete melt down game. Which we are capable of.

In Norman I'm not so sure we knock the Sooners off but it would be interesting.

The environment at BW for the Auburn game owes a lot to what Musselman has done. Yes, he's frequently over the top. But he pours his heart into the program and the fans react to that. A coach and team that care about the school will get the fans to care about the team. A fired up home crowd can make a lot of teams down right dangerous in any sport.

So if you are looking for a new coach, in any sport, get a good one... but get one that will get your fans ready to run through a brick wall to support your program. If you do that, good things will happen.
