The response to the SEC fine is so great. He understands that you really compound AD value by maximizing fan involvement and emotion.
Jeff Long went full private equity cut to the bone approach for profit maximizing. That's good for short term results, but you don't compound that way.
Long = Kraft
Hunter = Amazon
Eat it Sankey

You have to get the fans excited. If you get the fans excited the players will get excited. If the players get excited then the recruits get excited to come here.
Both of those were 250K well spent.

Exactly.
The ROI on that game was VERY positive with the fine and he just saved Arkansas businesses millions in potential NIL payments to get recruits to come.
Dude would've been a great investor. Glad he's our AD.

Someone brought up elsewhere what BS this is that the SEC uses this like a little slush fund. I'm fine with the fine... but it should go to charities or something. Not just into the accounts of the SEC.

It's goes the the graduate fund for scholarships i believe.

Perfect! We're actually doing a good deed when we get fined.

I hope we get a lot more fines for beating number 1 teams at our stadium. I can live with that.

I missed the first little bit of the game last night so I was listening on the radio on my way home. Point is - I’m really not one to listen to sports talk stuff but it was on when I got in the car today. I was surprised at how anti crowd storming they were- I mean they were thrilled with the win and not bitter angry but still disapproving.
Hell I’m oldish and I thought it was awesome. My arse would have probably joined in had I been there.

Its pretty idiotic...the SEC will send us like 40M of TV revenue money...then fine us $250k.
Like anyone would care.

Its not idiotic at all. They advertise the fine on Twitter, they tell schools ad rev in meetings and on financial statements.
Placate the masses and incentivize the forces.
ETA: I don't trust Joe GofrickYourself from Junction City to comment on political issues on Twitter.
I do trust Joe GofrickYourself that communtes to southern Louisiana for his chemical engineering job at Sasol to tell me the most efficient way to produce X chemical at Y input cost.
SEC office just doing their job.
These are the same Joe GofrickYourself's if that wasn't clear

To counter that point Rick Schaffer who likely was born into this world as a 50 year old man with a stick up his arse opened drive time saying he was all for rushing the court and thought the fine was the stupidest thing ever. Praised Fayetteville PD for keeping Auburn players/coaches etc safe.
