I mean if this all started from an ex employee then who knows. People have posted rumors about Mason and Harsin not getting along so honestly who knows.
I do not believe Harsin will settle if they have nothing on him. He just seems like he has too much ego.

The ex-employee is Derek Mason.

If Harsin thinks he did nothing wrong then he will absolutely dig his heels in. The question could become does Harsin have a firm grasp on what could be legally considered misconduct and his he willing to listen to legal counsel telling him he messed up?
I would think he would on the latter and this ends up as a settlement but it needs to be resolved soon. If it’s true they wanted it to let the investigation run it’s course then they should have kept it under wraps until then. Not leak that the BOT were meeting to discuss his future.
