Are you old enough to remember how Bamam "moved on" from Bill Curry to Gene Stallings? Stallings to Dubose? Franchione to Shula? Shula to Saban?

PROOF? Who the hell needs a thing like PROOF?
The ranting conspiracists know *exactly* what's going on amidst the Evil Auburn Booster Cabal! I bet their flow-chart is as good as BlueTuna's during the investigation of Cam!

Every school has PTB and big time boosters, it is a requirement. Harsin ended up not being a good culture fit. We can stay with him and slowly become worse. Who was looking forward to 2022?
Terrible look for Auburn, but better to just get this behind us. We should NEVER be out recruited by Mizzou or Kentucky. Hars is a terrible people person. Does not listen to other peoples opinion.
Name one positive after beating OleMiss? Loss 5 games in a row, an Auburn legacy decided to leave, he lets our best players leave, and we are up 19 folks. (We recruited less than that). There is no hope with Hars. We may mess this up, but we are behind EVERY SEC west school. That is not acceptable. Also HARS hates NIL. You cannot use it as a recruiting tool, but don’t shoot your self in the foot. We had folks ready with serious money.

Harsin ended up not being a good culture fit.

Sauces. Plus there was reference to it with regards to Mason and BoBo.

I’ll never understand why Auburn fans are so desperate to shite on the PTB that are Auburn fans that pour money into Auburn athletics instead of the a-hole 6-7 coach that has no support past the potato gang. Y’all couldn’t handle an above average quarterback playing for Auburn. There is no way y’all could stomach money leaving and the the program getting burnt down.
Yep. But you know he was just trying to instill culture. Well culture ain’t gonna block will Anderson

We're talking about a common SEC football culture.
Hell, Bama fired Dennis Franchione after a 10-3 season. And, frankly, it was probably the right thing to do.
They had no fear because they were ready to move on and expected better and more. They could *absolutely* see that he wasn't a "culture" fit. Then they brought in a "caretaker" to nurse them through their well-deserved NCAA hell.
Rip the goddam bandage off is often good advice. At this point, for Auburn, its the best advice.

Not disputing your point but didn’t he quit to go to A&M?

All of this can be true. But whoever started the shite with the girl and Harsin's family, if not true, I hope they get bankrupted. That's beyond the pale.

Hell, Bama fired Dennis Franchione after a 10-3 season
Bama has only fired three HCs since Ears Whitworth in 1957: DuBose in 2000, Price in 2003, and Shula in 2006. Neither DuBose nor Price received a buyout - in fact, Price hadn't even signed his contract before his dismissal. Shula's buyout was $4 million, which is less than we paid Tubs for 'resigning' just two years later.
Bryant retired, Perkins left for Tampa Bay, Curry left for Kentucky (after Bama refused to give in to his contract demands), Stallings retired, and Franchione left for TAMU. None of those departures cost Bama a crimson cent.
Their boosters may be every bit as underhanded and backstabbing as ours, but at least they don't throw good money after bad.

Yes, he “quit” to go to A&M just like Bill Curry “quit” to go to Kentucky.

Pretty sure that guy left when he got wind of NCAA sanctions.

quote:
Alabama officials offered Franchione a 10-year contract extension worth $15 million. Franchione, however, did not sign the offer.[12] Following the dismissal of Texas A&M head coach R. C. Slocum, Franchione publicly denied before the 2002 Iron Bowl a rumor that he would replace Slocum.[13] On 5 December 2002 Franchione flew to Texas to interview for the A&M job.
