Pretty sure this is the first time I’ve ever called you out specifically.

Not sure why you would correlate something like your above quote with being anything but pathetic.

take away all the non-alumni season ticket holders and take away all the donations sent in by non-alumni and see where that would leave any SEC program

That's just some dumb barner shite they came up with a while back to make themselves feel better about always being little brother.

"But but but we went to school there so we're better fans than you!!!"

Its like the AU "Fambly" , they always with you until you need them, then not so much. But they can all spout out the Auburn Creed, they dont know what it means and never do it but it does comfort them in the dark cold nights

It does amuse me to ask someone who proclaims to have "been a Dawg all of my life" what year they graduated or what was their major only to get a blank stare or stuttering in response.

yay another thread about this. Let's set the record straight. Certain programs such as LSU, Alabama and Georgia represent more than just a university or region of the state. These programs represent the entire state. People grow up on these teams and when they see that tiger eye or script A, they see home. They wear it as a brand to represent their home state proudly.

There are other programs such as Auburn that this does not apply to as much. Fans of these programs either went there, family went there or they grew up with a very close tie to the university. This is just the way it is and the way that it will always be. I hate people like this who think they're better than another fan because they hold a piece of paper from said university. I would love to see the donor numbers. I'd be willing to bet some of the biggest donors for XYZ programs do not hold a degree from there.

THIS, many people might have attended school at whatever school then ended up transferring or not finishing. They still made that lifetime connection to that school therefore they will always be a fan. This "at least I went to school there" argument is such a little brother mentality. I can totally see Aggies pushing this hard on UT or LSU fans in Texas. There aren't many Aggie fans that did not go to school there or have a close family connection to the school. Compare that to LSU, Bama, Georgia, Texas etc.

Dude sidewalkers are essentially the lifeblood of the revenue for the team...they spend more money on the team throughout their life compared to most undergrads who got a four year degree....essentially if your a sidewalker with season tickets you have paid much more than any student that went their
