Some AU fans think it was a ploy by boosters to fire Harsin

If that is so, it's undermining your own program, and if Harsin survives this, and it's looking like he may, then he's going to be working for an administration that didn't have his back, and boosters that wanted to get rid of him.
Weird situation.
Weird situation.

Business as usual for the backwoods BBQ gang down there. They did the same shite to Tubs.

Have you seen or heard a statement yet from administration defending or supporting Harsin?
yeah. Me neither.

If it comes out that that was the situation it will be a bitch finding his replacement in a few years.

No way he survives this coup. They better have someone lined up. No coach is going to leave a job to chance that.

Right, or finding a replacement now if he is fired. That's what I mean by undermining their own program. They already had a difficult time finding a replacement for Malzahn. Auburn seems to have a problem with boosters trying to run the program, though they are bad at it, like Alabama did between Bryant and Saban.

Just like Petrino, if they wanted to keep him you never hear about any of this. Now we get he's mean to players and coaches BS just like you heard with Petrino. They'll play the moral clause to keep from paying him. He gone and they're going to struggle to find a competent coach this time of year which will put major pressure on the next hire. The only difference was Arkansas was a top 10 team and Aubby sucks right now.

Responding to your thread title, “And water is wet.”
Someone nailed it in another thread title here yesterday: “Nobody, but nobody, can cut a coach’s throat like Auburn boosters.”

They can't afford to fire him. Seriously.... I don't think they can.

It could be for real, so it's not a foregone conclusion that it's bullshite.

You have to understand these BAMAGOOBERS wake up in the morning with all things AUBURN on their minds. Obsessed is an understatement.
I bet you see a comment like "it's weird" in response to the first mouthbreathing worshipper of tree killers.
They lack even a rudimentary intllectual foundation.
Oh well, at least we are in their heads from the start of their day until the end of their day. Such is the obsession over the team that has beaten them and their cheating schemes (which have now been taking place for more than 100 years) more than anyone else.
They would be amusing if their obession was not so pathetic and sociopathic.

Oh I fully agree that it’s for real and not BS. Ergo the “water is wet” metaphor, basically stating the most “obvious” thing that popped into my mind.

Hell no they don’t! Any administrator with an IQ above 80 knows they will become a target of the radicals as well. They like their cushy jobs and big offices and feeling important. Coaches come and go every day, especially at Auburn. They will cut him loose after this at the first opportunity. He may survive for several months but with all the losses this fall, he will be a goner before Christmas

Of course that’s what it is. Does anybody really believe otherwise?
