Let me tell you why I think this is BS and it was Eli Gravitt who said it, who is riding Harsin so hard the man is damn near raw at this point... Big Kat was hurt most of that year. Of course he missed practice. It happens a lot. The coaches hold a player out during the week so they can play on game day. It especially happens with older guys who already know the system. Eli Gravitt is just as much of a problem as all the other fake insiders.

One thing I don't understand.. Why does the support for Harsin come with the trashing of players? If you want to support Harsin, fine, but don't tear down other people to do it.

It was systemic with Malzahn and his program. Slack off-season and getting back on the field. Harsin might not be the right guy but under him you're playing and doing the work to get back on the field.

I saw his pictures and decided not to pay attention to anything he says.

I think he attends Gadsden State

More made up message board rumors. PM literally wrote about this the other day and said he doesn't know where it came from. Gus and his staff worked the players just as hard if not harder (his words). Was it different? Yes, I'm sure it is. This myth about Gus teams being soft is weird to me though. Were they soft when we played for a national title or SEC title? We're those players soft when we beat Bama? Even in his last season when everyone knew he was out the players we're still out there giving effort instead of quitting.

Again, I don't understand the need to trash players just because someone supports Harsin.

The podcast I'm referring to is three AU players, one was in both programs at AU and BSU. Its not my opinion. Just listen to the podcast. Its a different approach and probably why you are seeing the player disconnect right now.

Garner never watched what his room was doing in the offseason. He wanted his guys to be overweight coming into fall camp. They would work it off during the season. That's what we are discussing and what we are talking about as far as a "program" under Malzahn. Harsin may not be the guy, but this is why you got a #10 recruiting class and #35 results previously.

Which staff won games in the 4th quarter?

Which staff lost games in the 4th quarter?

I’ll hang up and listen…

Wrong!!! As soon as it was passed that on field coaches had X number of hours in the off season to be around the players all the position coaches were there encouraging and helping to push the players in workouts. There are have been multiple videos posted over the years to prove you wrong.

When blanket statements are that simple, they never pass the smell test.
To be clear, I am talking about Gus's teams were soft and such.

I don't think its a stretch that Pitman is bringing the lumber and he's known for that. Also, if you'd just listen to the podcast I'm referring to you'd hear it from Auburn players. Its not a writers opinion. The larger problem under Russell - from the podcast - is that there wasn't much accountability and players could shirk their work. Just listen to the podcast and decide for yourself.

I honestly don’t even know what this means or is trying to imply? Both? You have to be in it in the 4th to win. Under Gus we were blown out by our rivals so bad there weren’t many chances.

Not to mention the “we could have named our own score” national championship game..

When this whole thing started I wanted him fired for the season collapse, recruiting, and coaching turnover. I wanted him gone more sooner than later for football related reasons only. I was open to another year but didn't like it, and came here to discuss and /or debate it.

Now it looks like he will lose his job over things not related to anything football. Some group of people are just throwing shite at the wall to see what sticks. Being mean, racist, having an affair, whatever it takes. As much as I don't like the job he has done, he wouldn't have made it this far if he were any of these things, it would have come out by now. It's a pathetic attempt, and makes anyone associated with Auburn look ridiculous.

Now the only things I am certain of is we will come out of this looking stupid, and in a worse spot. I am certain the PTB have no plan beyond the smear campaign, and whoever they pick as coach will be a completely underwhelming hire....again. I am also certain a wedge will be driven right down the middle of the fanbase, tons of evidence here that's already happened. All of the things I wanted him fired for could have been fixed, maybe by Harsin, maybe by the next guy. The reasons he will get fired, and the damage it will cause to our image and program I fear will not be able to be fixed by any person. Only time will fix that, and alot of it. Now, no matter which side of this you started on, we have had our bed made by a bunch of misguided assholes and WE get to sleep in it.

Harsin said the head coach needs the support of everyone, and the boosters need to support the coach. The coach needs to be left alone to coach. I 100% agree vwith that, we all should. Unfortunately the last thing I am certain of is at the end of the day, whoever is the coach, the PTB will find a way to keep that from happening...again.

The boosters are nothing but rich people, who have been asked to help, but want to strut on the sidelines like they’re Jerry Jones.

Coach Ciampi coached us hard as HELL every single day, and most days I hated him for that. But THAT wasn’t why we were so good. We were THAT good because no matter how hard he COACHED us, we ALL KNEW how much he CARED about us as people. At the end of the day, I’m not runnin through a wall for a coach who just screams. I’m runnin through a wall for the coach who I know CARES about me behind those screams. TRUE athletes know there is a difference.

There is a lot of truth to this. I think it’s the way Saban works too. You can’t just be an a-hole all the time and expect results, IF that’s what Harsin is doing. No one is going to respect that.
