Worse & Best 2nd Tier 2022 SEC recruiting efforts?

Well, we know who the elite recruiting teams were but which teams ranks as having the most disappointing recruiting class??? While maybe some others outside of the Top Ten faired well considering past performances?
The list of schools outside of the Top 10 includes Auburn, LSU, Florida, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Arkansas, South Carolina, Miss St, Vande.
I must say that Vande did quite well at #32 considering past years.
So who failed miserably? Which HCs were complacent? Most disappointing given all the hopes and predictions? Who continues to rise up the rankings to build upon for 2023?

Flashing bills isn't "elite recruiting", FYI.

He's doing regular recruiting of High School kids, not portal players....and rightfully so. There will be portal changes after Spring practices, so any rankings including portal would not be complete.

Transfer players count against a class just as much as a high school recruit, to not include them because it will "change" in the spring means we should never post rankings at all as they always change eventually.
People who pretend transfers aren't a part of recruiting in 2022 are stuck in the past and it's only going to become a bigger part of the recruiting process.
But I understand OP is trying to troll because he's pissed.

No thye don't. For one, every team has different numbers of transfer portal people. If you have the room you c an take as many transfers as you want. Secondly, recruiting rankings have always been restricted to high school. Transfers are transfers. As far as i know recruiting rankings have never included portal additions until this year, and they are keep separate.....for a reason. The only reason they have a separate ranking system is because of the NCAA allowance of raising the 25 man limit. Look at the disparity in numbers of players teams have recruited this year.

I think it is legit to include all of the transfers as long as they are pointed out, but it is just as legit to not count them.

Wait, people troll because they’re pissed? You must be furious in your miserable life. But please continue

Well yeah...
The transfer portal is a relatively new innovation plus players can immediately play at their new school now.

Try and win something before we acknowledge you because you are still very far from being relevant

You are very far down the spectrum. Stop posting.

It would be simple to just have;
Class rankings based on incoming frosh only, coming from high school
Separate JC and portal incoming players team rankings.

Well, we know who the elite recruiting teams were
What happened to all those press conferences accusing and denyingeach other?
Looks like the AD lawyers did the same thing as when Rush Propst noted the exact same thing last March. They found a weaselword document for him to sign ("..no actual knowledge.. blah blah blah...).

What's the difference?

Yes they do.
No. They don't. This is what you said:

You can take no more than 25 high school players (with exception for back counting, blue, grey shirts etc)
If you are below the 85 player limit you can take as many portal players as you want.

Again we disagree. it isn't new. he way it is being handled is new, yes. But transfers have been around forever, almost. We have just now started calling it a transfer portal and just now started allowing them to transfer immediately...but transfers have been here for a long time.
Now, when you said the "transfer portal is a new innovation"...if you mean it is more organized and wide open...then I think we agree, just going by each other by semantics.
ETA
Perhaps I am not understanding the signing limits as per the portal? I am pretty sure you can sign as many players from the portal as long as you do not go past the 85 scholarship player limit, though.

Did any of the schools in the conference start the season ranked in the preseason top 5 to only go 8-5 with a forfeit in their bowl?

I think you are confusing recruiting budgets with NIL?
Georgia had the biggest recruiting budget by a long shot.
But that pays for all expenses a player uses for travel, entertainment, promotional materials, everything. That money does not go to the players.
NIL does not come from the schools. It can come from their likenesses being used in games, jerseys', commercials, private appearances, autograph sessions etc from private businesses.

False.
quote:
As the rules are currently constructed, any incoming transfers count against the 25-man limit of a program's signing class.
That has forced some college coaches to choose between signing high school players, whom they can develop for the future, or transfers who can help on the field right away.

Players previously couldn't immediately play unless they were graduate transfers, now they get a free transfer and can immediately play.
That's absolutely true.
