He expects that to mean 5-7 years with Steve taking over.
Of course a lot can happen and things could change for Bruce could coach longer and Steve choosing a different path.
That’s about it

Who’s he.
It’s hard to believe this contract has anything to do w Steven. We’re talking at least 7-8 for Pearl alone.

Auburn fans love to shite on any kind of Auburn writer/insider

They don’t all understand that there may be a relationship between a writer and a coach.
Never realizing Hoke put that story out to increase BP’s bargaining power. It worked. Deal done and Home will have first hand access to Auburn BB with scoops.

love people are already complaing that Steven might take over. If that is what it takes to keep Bruce who cares. Dang Auburn fans will never be happy.
Steven has learned a lot from Bruce, when Bruce retires he will still be around and we can afford to give Steven 2 or 3 years to see if he can cut it. If Bruce keeps this pace for the next 5 to 7 years Auburn will be set up to succeed on its own.

Hokanson’s take is that Bruce will go another 5-7 years and he also expects his son Steven to take over as HC when he does decide to leave.
Any other questions?

If Steven is the heir I’d love to see him go away for a couple years and then come back. Just somewhere doesn’t even have to be a head coach just out from under Bruce so he can round out his skills more. I’m sure someone would take a flyer on him as a D2 coach somewhere let him cut his teeth a little.
But if Bruce keeps this going for 5-7-10 years I hope we then go out and hire the best available coach whoever that is
