Georgia will get a second season out of Bowers, along with another year from Darnell Washington.

Why so many on here saying he wasnt?
Or was this just speculation?

Were we worried about Bowers?

thats not really speaking to the rumors that he would be leaving, more so just an article talking about TE going into next year. He's still on the team, so that makes sense for the writer to include that wording.

Wonder if we'll go to him a little more this season. At 6' 7", who can cover him? Jump balls.

Can you please link these rumors or is it just message board chatter?

BTW,this is more definitive than anything else I've heard and I've also asked Connor to source his information.

Not really. He could have said "if" he's coming back or even talked about the speculation that he wasn't.

With Fitzpatrick gone to the NFL, I would imagine he'll see the field more. Besides, Bowers isn't exactly a stealth weapon at this point. Double-teams on him would open up Washington/Gilbert

why do you need a link to a rumor? hopefully he stays, but to make out like this throw away line in an article about 2022 TEs was something directly addressing and refuting that rumor is not accurate in my opinion.

Because MULTIPLE people were saying on this board...like there was a source for them.

If it was just an assumption due to Bowers getting most of TE targets than the "rumors" have zero merit.

multiple people on separate sites...beat writers with connections and the other board guy (who has to be somewhat connected) has said it was/is a possibility.

I think the rumor has some merit to it, if you don't that's fine and I hope you're right. I just wouldn't take the article you linked as a definitive statement on his status for next year.

Which writers? Not trying to badger but I'd like to see what their take is.Im not so sure Connor has a direct source other than he's still here (good news)

If he's still around a month from now I think we'll have a better idea.

Dipshits were saying he was headed to LSU. Hilarious.

The rumors I saw mentioned Alabama....and that the coaching staff talked him into staying through the spring to see what our offense would look like.

I don't think I said anything about Washington (Until now) but I saw it mentioned....or I should say strongly hinted at.

Putting all of that aside. Imagine what we could look like if Arik Gilbert has gotten better(mentally and playing WR), and with Bowers and Washington at TE. Add in Mitchell, McConkey, Blaylock and Kearis Jackson.

If we can keep Monken or get a good solid OC to replace Monken (assuming he leaves) the offense could be a monster.

If our tight end room hired bouncers, the guys the bouncers were guarding would be bigger and stronger than the bouncers themselves.

Opposing DCs won't know whether to shite or go blind.

Will be a lot of stress on the other sidelines, that's for sure.

And that's without accounting for the RBs.
