Why is LSU getting praise for playing?

First of all I hate opt outs and covid and all the BS that has become of these bowl games. I just don't understand why we are crowning the LSU program as if its some heroic act by playing with a short roster.
People are acting like this team is the squad that overcame tragedy in We Are Marshall. Like it isn't their own damn fault they are down to less than 40 people.
The reasons why they have so few players available:
1) A combination of academic or other suspensions. Totally self inflicted.
2) Opt-outs. Yes. Players voluntarily choosing not to play, and not just for the NFL. Myles Brennan won't play in Texas Bowl, opting for 'fresh start' when he returns to LSU
3) Players entering the NCAA transfer portal. Players that decided to leave the program. Some would call that quitting.
4) Covid protocols: I don't know the exact number that can be attributed to this, but A&M was highly criticized for this same exact thing. This excuse either goes both ways or it doesn't. Make up your mind.
Who exactly is showing "guts" to play here? The whopping 45ish% of players that are living up to the terms of their scholarship? The interim coach that wants to put a potential feather in his cap before he has to leave? The administration/conference who doesn't have to get embarassed on national tv that also wants the bowl payout money?

Because they are playing the game, when other schools(IE: yours) took the easy way out.

Why do you care?
Does this make you feel better about Aggie not playing?

LSU plays in football games and wins trophies.
A&M backs out of games vs Wake Forest and wins recruiting championships.

You're in denial your HC has created a culture of cowardice.
So you feel the need to attack what LSU is doing to make yourself feel better.

You couldn't confine your bitching to 10 or so of the other 20 threads you've been shitposting in?

Your entire team used Covid to opt out of a bowl a week and a half before it was supposed to be played.
You should probably sit this one out.

A&M is an embarrassment to the conference. Y’all belong in that woke PAC conference

I haven’t seen any praise.
We are just doing what we are supposed to do…

Aggies have been talking about the 12th man for a century.

Because we’re playing the game with less than 40 scholarship players and your bitchass school forfeited a game 2 weeks out and then had another 2 to reschedule if bud instead decided to not play football for a cold that none of your players or coaches received hospitalization for and the CDC says to quarantine for 5 days.
LSU is getting praise because they’re showing up with a literal rag-tag team of walk-ons to fight.
A&M ran as quickly as they could from the fight.
The reason Texas is a state is because of the rednecks from true SEC states. Once again the men go out hunting and the boy lovers hide behind the gates.

No. Just all the pussies that are leaving your program or voluntarily choosing not to play when they’re perfectly healthy.
It’s like shooting yourself in the foot then saying “Look at me! I’m playing with a gunshot wound!” Well who’s fault is that dumbass?

Yeah, about 30 players have quit since August. That sucks.
You know what doesn't suck? The 38 players that are still standing said "frick it, let's go have fun in an exhibition game".
That's what amateurism is about.

No A&M players are showing up to play. They all get credit for being yellow
