Why is James Franklin so disliked?

He seems like a stand-up who has done an amazing job at restoring the reputation of Penn State. He's also a pretty good football coach.

While at Vanderbilt, he was not a polite person and disrespectful of other programs w/in the conference.

He tried to fight Todd Grantham on national TV like he was macho man randy savage because he thought Grantham told his safety to intentionally hurt a guy. Franklin is a hot head like Pruitt, but slightly more intelligent.
