It was in the 60's here last night. I remember someone on another board once tried to tell me MN and MO winters are the same...umm, not at all. Happy New Year.

How thick is the ice? The best walleye fishing on Mille Lacs used to be from first ice to New Year's Day. I'm sure the warmer winters have changed all that as well the slot limit and whatever the fish limit is (two?). It was six when I lived there.

A buddy said that yesterday, Mille Lacs ice was 11"-13" Temp was 24 below zero. Limit is only one walleye per day with a slot limit. Pan fishing is reportedly very good, however.
