Must be because he couldn't score as much against Bama as Bennet.

Also, I guess he's not getting drafted in the NFL either?

Its dumb to place the blame or give all the credit to one person for losing or winning.

P.S. I think JT is a great QB...its obvious to me that something is going on with him and Bennett is our best option to win.

He got some balls batted down. That was surprising to me.

They did a great job of getting in his lanes on short passes.

Vs Bama in the SECG we lost the line of scrimmage.

Vs Michigan, we won it on both sides. Their QB was harassed the whole night, and Stet was protected pretty well.

Another difference, when Stet had pressure he made some great throws vs Michigan, whereas he didn't vs Bama.

Ridder is a projected first round pick. Which proves the point: The talent around you means a lot. Everyone knows Cincinnati didn't belong. Their entire roster has only 5 players who were 4-star or higher recruits. Everyone else on their team was 3-star, 2-star and many unrated. They play in a weak conference.

Bennett playing on one of the two teams that is deepest in 5-star talent in college football does not make him great. If anything, it allows the team to win with an average QB with minimal NFL potential.

So, what you are saying is, a 6’4” 1st round QB got 4 passes blocked at the LOS by Bama? Because if so, you are right.

Guess you missed (or didn't want to get) the point.

Based on the thread title, it appears the point was certainly missed by 1 of us.

Guess you didn't read past the title. The post asked facetiously if Ridder won't be drafted because he had passes batted down.

this has been obvious for a while

JT has an amazing attitude on the sidelines during games - he is not acting like someone who is upset about lost playing time

my guess is that his parents, Kirby & the docs they have consulted advised that he not play this year & save his NFL showcase season for 2022
