At least we have no pressure to win our bowl game

I strongly suspect Pittman has these boys ready to play

Missouri was missing players and played a very motivated Army team that just wanted it more. If this was back in September then Missouri wins by three scores. Florida already quit before Mullen was fired and played a Gus team that was motivated. If Florida played as good against Bama then they win by a couple of tds. Auburn played a Houston team that had a chip on its shoulder as Dana Holgorsen said they beat P5 teams in the past and they wanted to make a statement. If Auburn played as hard as did against Bama then they would win this game.

I don't get that feeling from Arkansas. I think they really want to win this game as many of the players have never played in a bowl. Penn State was top 10 at one point but dropped out of the top 25. I think they wanted to be in a better bowl and don't respect Arkansas. They probably believe they deserve a more prestigious opponent. It reminded me when Arkansas played Minnesota. They complained a bout the bowl and the team but didn't bring it to the field. That doesn't mean they wouldn't but they aren't fired up a bout an Arkansas team that they believe is on the level of Minnesota.

I don't think Mizzou should get a pass because of missing players. Their backups' backups were better athletes than Army. Mizzou did, however, suffer a syndrome we know all to well... "lets get cutesy in the red zone." They committed the cardinal sin of college football, thou shalt not let a military academy team hang around.

Florida only made a bowl because one team they played down the home stretch had quit even harder than they did. Why couldn't we have gotten the Gators this year? Auburn played exactly like Auburn has played all year. Look good one series, look like trash the next 4. Naturally the one complete game they played this year... they played against us.

State just got violated. No analysis needed.

Do we have concerns playing Pedo State? Well not having Burks out there to be KJ's safety blanket is a legit concern. We will miss his home run capability. A potential defensive meltdown is always a worry. Let us be honest, we've had games where we couldn't stop a Jr. High team from hanging half a hundred on us. The good news is that we finally will have almost everyone healthy on defense.

Other than those concerns I like our chances. Our ability to mix the run and passing games should give them fits. If we slow down their offense we can pull away from them quickly.

Of course... that does present its own issues. After all, Penn State loves to play from behind their opponents.

I think we need to wait until another year. Missouri had one of those generational HS classes this time around.

If he continues to recruit well that could save him. If they fall off the ball a bit Drink could be in trouble.
