I asked this earlier on the stream of conciousness game thread so it got lost in the wash. For those who attended or have attended any prior games, how is the venue?

It seems great and I'm sure its a nice perk for UAB and Birmingham. It sure a hell beats the swaying decks of Legion Fiend and the parking extortion. The only complaint from a friend of mine driving in was that because of the digital nature of buying tickets and parking passes, he was confused about where he needed to park. Sounds more like a tech issue than anything.

I like it. Wish it were more in the middle of the city, but that’s the only negative I’ve found.

I thought the place looked great from the TV, especially compared to Legion.

It’s nice for Birmingham. Atmosphere was decent today although you could tell the fans were mostly there out of obligation.

Concessions are good but not equipped to handle a crowd at full capacity.

Placing this stadium next to uptown was a great idea. I’m excited for the first concert they throw there.

Yeah I heard concessions struggled in the 7A state champ game so it doesn’t shock me they were bad today. This was the biggest event they’ve had and one of the first but they will need to figure it out in the future.

It was great and perfect for Bham and UAB. You could tell they were overwhelmed on the concessions. I hate trying to park anywhere down there so we walked from our hotel.

I told my wife we need to go to one UAB home game a year.

I parked on a sidewalk for free right in front of the on-ramp to 31 south it was perfect.

Agreed that the stadium is perfect for UAB.

Venue is really great. Two complaints:

(1) sound system is shite. It sounds like two speakers are next to the video screen..makes you appreciate what auburn has done.

(2) concession speed. They have a bunch of 60-80 yr olds working the concessions. None of them give a shite.

By the time the old Caraway is turned into condos and shops, the area will clean up very well. I'm seeing a lot of homes in the area getting condemned

I had South EZ seats about 6 rows off the field and they were awesome. concessions were the only negative, but it honestly makes me wanna go to UAB games now and I have never been. was very impressed with it.

Place was great, very impressive. The whole area around TopGolf has really come up with this World Game prep. Has to be the nicest stadium in CUSA.
