QUARTERBACK: PENN STATE

RUNNING BACK: ALABAMA
quote:

The Crimson Tide not only addressed a major need at this position for the 2022 class but they got two of the best in the nation to sign on the dotted line. Running the ball at a high clip is a major staple of the Alabama football program, but the 2021 season wasn’t as productive as usual in Tuscaloosa. That was probably a selling point for Top247 players Emmanuel Henderson and Jamarion Miller, who could see an early opportunity at Alabama.

Henderson, the Top247’s No. 2 running back, and Miller, the Top247’s No. 6 running back, will give the ground game in Tuscaloosa an instant boost. Henderson is a slasher with very good size and growth potential physically and within his game. He also provides versatility as a receiver and flashes power with need be.

Miller is a compact muscle back with tremendous speed to change the game at any moment. He has very good vision and will run through arm tackles. These two complement each other’s game and talents. With a ton of guys returning from injury in 2022, the Crimson Tide has no shortage of running back options to sort through.

WIDE RECEIVER: OHIO STATE

TIGHT END: TEXAS A&M
quote:

When's the last time we saw a tight end class quite like this? Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies signed three guys ranked in the top 20 at the position: Jake Johnson (No. 3 TE in Top247), Donovan Green (No. 5) and Theodor Melin Ohrstrom (No. 16). With Jalen Wydermyer off to the NFL, This trio will enhance the profile of the tight room instantly. This group should become welcome friends of any quarterback that will be spinning the ball in College Station. These guys all have the ability to be able to line up on the field together one day, creating a formational mismatch for defenses.

OFFENSIVE LINE: NOTRE DAME

DEFENSIVE LINE: TEXAS A&M
quote:

Simply put, the haul of big men in the trenches by the Aggies in the 2022 class is amazing. In this deep group you have players that have athleticism, agility and aggressiveness. They’re all still developing physically, they’re tenacious and they have upside.

Texas A&M’s d-line haul is headlined by Walter Nolen, the No. 1 DL in the Top247, and also includes Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy (No. 3 DL), Enai White (No. 2 edge) Anthony Lucas (No. 5 DL) Malick Sylla (No. 7 DL) and Jadon Scarlett (No. 88 DL). These guys are the chess pieces needed to build a foundation on the defensive line that can sustain for seasons to come. Watching their growth and development will be fun

LINEBACKER: NOTRE DAME

SECONDARY: TEXAS A&M
quote:

Texas A&M addressed a need in the secondary and not only shored it up with depth, but added a ton of talent, too. The traits that stand out when you look at who the Aggies are bringing in in the secondary are speed and size. Denver Harris, Deyon Bouie, Bryce Anderson, Marquis Groves-Killebrew and Bobby Taylor are all among the top 200 players overall. Safety Jarred Kerr is the 36th-ranked player at his position but is the state’s 3A triple jump champion.

There won’t be a group of receivers this secondary can’t match up with.

I think it's just the recruit ratings, not where the secondaries sit currently.

Secondary is definitely UGA. 3 5 stars( Everette, Starks, and Singletary), and 2 4 stars(Humphrey and Thomas)

They have some higher ranked safeties. It’s a toss up but they are the hot name right now.

Secondary is close. I'd go with UGA if we are counting Starks as a safety.

Maybe it's because Jimbo took 2 from Georgia.

UGA's group is stacked.

So Alabama had the #2 overall class, but was the "best" position haul in only one spot?

Does that mean Alabama basically had the most well-rounded recruiting class?

Or perhaps because we signed 4 guys who are listed as "Athletes"?

Yeah I think the horns had a better OL class than the Irish but now Sark better develop them or it’s gonna be another wasted class.

Yes...this is recruiting class position rakings...BTW:

Georgia
CB - 2 5-star, 1 4-star
S - 1 4-star

aTm
CB - 1 5-star, 2-4 star
S - 3 4-star

I would say that aTm's secondary class is better than Georgia's, mainly because of the number of safety's they are bringing in.
