Getting beat deep in that situation in man defense is a blown assignment; especially for a guy who won a Thorpe. And yes, UGA was in man across the board with two safety’s deep, to make sure this this exact thing didn’t happen I’d say. Also a blown assignment.

Tua textbook looked #24 off on that play. [The safety] made the decision he thought was best given what he had to work with at the time.
