When we get in Short yardage we should have a Milroe package.

I think Milroe would be our best option Saturday in 3rd and short or Goaline. Would love for us to have a Package for him. Basically the Sladecat with someone who is actually competent

Wonder if they have been trying anyone else at fullback this year

Should put Shane Lee at FB.

I was watching Taysom Hill last night thinking about Milroe running those same veer option style plays.
It's nice to think about but i dont we see it.

I think I’d rather keep the ball in our Heisman candidate’s hands than a true freshman with less than 100 yards of total offense completing less than 50% of his passes.

Yea but I’d prefer that that Heisman candidate not have to throw the ball 60 times behind a revolving door o-line facing an elite front 7.
We’re gonna have to get creative guys. Whatever Wildcat package we have for Slade would be instantly upgraded with Milroe

We shouldn’t have a wildcat at all.
The wildcat isn’t creative. It was 15 years ago when every team wasn’t incorporating spread option plays. Now it’s only useful if your starting QB cannot run. Our starting QB is an elite runner.
So putting Slade, Milroe, or whoever in there is just giving UGA a play they don’t have to worry about our great QB making a play.
UGA did this against us in 2018 with Justin Fields, and it just gave our defense free plays.
Incorporating Milroe in a creative way would be putting him in the slot for a double pass or lining him up alongside Young on a play. Milroe has shown me nothing to warrant inclusion though.

Tennessee tried to run Hooker on basically a QB draw several times on short yard plays and each time was a complete failure.

I'll be honest sending in a freshman with little game experience to run the ball sounds like a recipe for a turnover.

Agree. Putting Milrose in this game would be so Dan Mullin-ish.

Yea, I'd prefer just run an RPO

The top defense in the nation and you guys want to run wildcat behind an oline that can barely block Hoover High?

I can see it now
Milroe cuts back against the grain, Dean is waiting, helmet on ball, ball flys 15 yards down field, Corner picks it up for TD

When has the wildcat last been successful against a competent defensive front?

Yea but Bryce is 5’11 in cleats and 180 pounds. Depending on Brian Robinson’s health, Milroe might be the closest thing we have to a runningback that can move the pile
I’m not even saying we should do it. But a package being available is something we might consider

Unless it's attached to a legitimate speed sweep threat or a guy who they are legitimately concerned will throw the ball it's idiotic. And even in the above situations it's probably not the best option.

Now....something that involves Milroe on a reverse pass or something? Yea I'm not opposed.
But no direct snap run into the middle of the line stuff.

I’m not either, but I wonder if a true WR running that would be more effective. I have no idea if any of our WRs can throw though.
Milroe in the slot or wide probably tips the defense off unless he can run some legitimate routes during the game.

I dunno man that seems like Bryce’s least consistent throw. We had tGOAT RPO thrower but those elite fronts kept us from getting the tough yards

I just like the idea for the QB to potentially immediately run with an extra blockers. Since we are having such trouble blocking on 3rd and short runs
For the record, I’m in favor of scrapping this all together if Robinson is mostly healthy. But I’m worried about having two backs with their pop being severely limited due to injuries

Fair enough. I guess my thinking is we should probably avoid jumbo sets entirely this game unless it’s just extra pass protection.
Our offensive front is so inferior to their defensive front that as Mickey Mouse as it seems, I think I’d be in a spread formation and have passing options even on 4th and inches.
