Jalen Milroe, Malachi Moore, Dallas Turner. All worthy, HOWEVER, to not have Will Reichard, the leading scorer in the entire history of college football, as a team captain is a shame.
After what some players pulled in South Florida in response to Milroe being benched, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

What? Blood, sweat, and tears earn a player the honor of captain voted by other players. Kickers don’t give a 10th of what other players give (I can speak from experience since I was a kicker/punter in HS). Will is an awesome player and awesome person (wife taught him in school), but what a bad take on being a captain.

I know a guy that won games for this team. Contributed greatly. Greatest kicker in schools history. Most points scored in the history of college football. Is a team captain.
You know what you’re correct. Forget team captain status, Will earned a statue outside the stadium.

All true and all have nothing to do with being a team captain. You know nothing about team sports clearly besides what you observe from your sofa on Saturdays.

I assume the theory is there are people that didn’t try because Milroe was benched. The folks that didn’t try were showing loyalty to Jalen as their leader/friend. That isn’t race related unless the theory is only black players didn’t try but I would say that’s not true because Roydell was our offense.
IMO, if anyone sabotaged anything, it was Buchner’s arm strength sabotaged the offense.
