Just curious but Why was that not a penalty for defenseless receiver? Didn't make a difference in the game at all but shouldn't that have been called as it is written?

Thats a good question. I also wonder how much Fisher should get fined.

I missed that play live and saw a clip of it this morning...What the frick?

I guess it didn't really matter and we would have just kicked off a few yards further forward, but he really should be fined by the SEC for that bush league bullshite.

If the obstacle of Fisher was the definitive reason that caused Asante to get tackled would we get the touchdown?

On Fromm? Probably should have been. Also a terrible throw by Thorne... receivers are going to hate him constantly throwing high so they take unnecessary hits.

Thought the same thing AL. And that shovel pass to Damari should have never been tossed, you could clearly see Frazier was not going to block the DB, tuck it and run, dont make the running back totally expose himself for injury and a loss.

I doubt the QB is taught to taught to read the quick shovel pass. The pitch was probably muscle memory.

Correct... he's not reading the corner. He's looking right at the LB then glancing to the back as he pitches it - and it's usually designed to be a slightly forward pass for that reason. The "lookout" block was a critical error assuming that was Fromm's assignment.

You are correct. It was Tyler Fromm and not Luke Deal.

I think so.

There was a Bama player named Tommy Lewis who tackled a Rice player from the bench.

LINK

It was a Cotton Bowl game in like the 1950s.
TD was awarded.

I've heard they say this a lot in the gay bars.
