Is Wisconsin glad to be rid of 2Bs? (And not just because he ate all their food)

Last year Wisconsin, a consensus preseason top 15 team led by Bret Bielema, limped its way to an 8-6 record last year and finished outside the top 25

Let's visit how Wisconsin if fairing without their formerly beloved blimp of a coach

Currently, Wisconsin has climbed into the top 25 (#24) at 5-2. Really, a blunder by the refs against ASU ( That got the refs reprimanded) is the only thing keeping them away from being a 1 loss team and ranked top 15-20. It is also very realistically that Wisconsin could win out against

quote:

Iowa
BYU
Minnesota
Indiana
Penn St

As documented here, Bret Bielema is underacheiving at Arkansas even by a dumpster fire coach John. L Smith standards.

So the question that needs to be asked is, Is Bret Bielema holding his teams (Arkansas and previously Wisconsin) back from acheiving their potential?

Only board I read with Wisconsin fans is /r/cfb and they seem to be happy to be rid of him on there

They're a better team this year, no doubt. Was Bret holding them back, or would he have them at 7-0, no one really knows. Though an educated guess would lead most sensible posters to the former.

This thread, as badly needed as it was, makes me feel guilty. Arky fans seem so clueless about the quality of their coach and the future of their program. I should feel ashamed for laughing at their posts, but I don't.

Like Arkansas fans and Houston Nutt circa 2008/09/10/11?

bb didn't cause near the drama at wisky that nutt did here. bb didn't go to a school anywhere near (or in the same conference) as nutt did. bb wasn't born and raised in wisky like nutt was in arkansas.

altho, i do agree people yapped about him way too long.

I thought at the time Bert was a good hire for them, but after seeing his team completly give up the last 2 games I don't anymore, he is over his head in the SEC. Also they just lost their highest rated recruit to the aggies, so he can't recruit worth a shite either.
He will be fired in 3 years.
