Half the fanbase wanted him to start this season. The other half wanted Stockton to start.

You won't find many who would admit that now.

None of them wanted Beck to start? I would say Beck did a pretty good job.

5 star out of a small classification. Great numbers, great legs, strong arm.

Was he the best QB in the spring game?

No. Beck showed out in the spring.

Never saw much of him except in the late 4th quarter and that would be hand offs , a few passes, and killing the clock. From what I saw , he has a pretty good arm but never been battle tested so hard to say just how good that arm is in meaningful snaps.

Biggest downside is he has been struggling with accuracy.

Big and fast with a strong arm.
Should make some team an excellent QB.

Something about his release always looked odd to me...not a good or bad thing, just weird.

We really didn't get to see much of him but those who were familiar with his skills in HS say he's a badass. Hope the best for the kid, except when we matchup.

I will say that when Brock runs, it's very natural. With such a small sample size at this level (spring games, mop up) it's hard to say what his greatest asset is, but I can assure that his ability to move coupled with arm strength means a lot of upside potential.

I think he would be a great pickup. I hate to see him go.

Know what can cure accuracy issues? Game reps, which Brock doesn't really have.

Great size and sneaky good athleticism. Dude is faster than you'd think just by looking at him but he is a "dual threat", IMO. Huge arm. He just wouldn't ever have an opportunity here (unless Beck were to leave, in which case Brock would almost surely start IMO). Got nothing bad at all to say about him, other than it's annoying having to play against people that transferred away from you through no fault of our own.

Off topic in this thread but is Stockton progressing pretty well? If Beck left would he be the guy or would it be a battle with Raiola?

I know fans generally get limited info on backups but was just curious if there was any scuttlebutt out there.

You are getting a good player with potential. He has good wheels and a good arm. Not afraid to run.

He will run read option and rrpo very well.

Strong kid. Strong arm.
Admits that he is still working on accuracy.

Took a redshirt in 2021 and did scout team.
Gunner Stockton handled scout team better in 2022 than Vandagriff in 2021.
But Vandagriff has appeared firmly ahead of Stockton in our Monken/Bobo offense.

If we lose Beck, Vandagriff would be the heir apparent QB for 2024.
