Used to be a decent game on between some teams that wanted some national attention. Just NFL now.

MACtion is the best midweek football if we’re being honest. Think that starts end of October

NFL moving to Thursday pretty much killed Thursday night college football.

I'm going to go ahead and blame it on Joe Alleva and work out the whys and the wherefores at some later time.

Sucks man. I remember some fun games from yesteryear. A Kentucky v South Carolina game from like 2007 was wild. UNC v FSU. Boise played Thursdays a lot. When they were good, South Florida and Rutgers. I fell in love with CFB in those 2004-2009ish years. Of course that’s when I was playing HS football so I understood what was going on a bit more than younger me.

Va tech used to have a bunch of Thurs games under Beamer
Espn showed it could be a window where people would tune in to watch especially most of the college audience that would not ordinarily watch if that game was on a sat conflicting with other games, it had its own window
Nfl over time saw another way to add eyeballs to its games with an extra night and ever since then the marquee college games have dried up

NFL crushed it so bad, ESPN’s white flag is the AAC.
