Well I think the base prices are around the same. I had the Hulu bundle from 2016 until about 3 months ago and it got to where I was paying $108 per month. If they are close to equal, the YTTV interface blows Hulu's out of the water though. That said, Hulu does have a pretty dang good library of shows and movies unlike YTTV so I guess it's whichever of those you prefer.

This is the same fight the mouse waged against carriers like DirecTV and Charter. Difference is the streaming services don’t fight. They just jack up the price lol.
im hopeful competitors do what was promised and go pure ala carte. I would be good for picking 10 channels and 40 a month

Jville I got a cease and delete letter from the govt while pirating music in college. They promised to force me to pay up to 1,500 per file I downloaded.

With this, you’re not downloading anything, you’re just streaming. There’s a difference. You can also buy a VPN.

By the time it's all said and done streaming will be just as high as cable.

The only saving grace of YTTV is that they allow you to add multiple users/Google accounts (I think up to 4 total, not sure) to a single YTTV account. So you can split the cost more easily which makes it nice compared to other services
But yeah it’s getting crazy. Gonna cancel mine after bowl season.

Add a streaming service to an internet connection and you are at or above what cable is/was.
The golden days of internet streaming are long gone.

Ive seen some outrage about YTTV on twitter. Lot of comments of "just use IPTV."

Personally I had Sling and it sucked.
Technical problems all the time. Especially when I actually wanted to watch something vs just having it on.
Switched to YT after that. Much better. Will take the price increase.

Have you ever heard of a VPN? (Had them as a service since 2007) Make sure you get one that doesn't keep logs. Oh and don't use TOR (unless you know what to look for) as most Gov & FBI control a lot of those servers.
Not pointed directly at you jang but just a general announcement for those that may go down that route.

YTTV is now $83, but still the cheapest (I think) of the streamers that offer the most channels- also including Hulu, FUBO, and Direct TV Stream. But if you need Ballys (or whatever it is now) to watch the Braves or other local team, you are paying around $110 with FUBO/Direct TV Stream. The cost spread between a cable bundle vs streaming has really narrowed (or has completely closed) depending on how much you pay for internet and how many boxes you want for cable. But you really only need 1 box for cable these days, as you can now stream on secondary TVs without renting a box. I ditched cable years ago, but have considered going back as the price as equalized as my wife prefers that interface.
