Where does Auburn rank in SEC prestige.
Haters at work say we are below Tennessee and Florida somewhere around 9th best.
My rank:
Bama
Georgia
TU
Oklahoma
LSU
Auburn
Florida
Tennessee
Missouri
Ole Miss
The Rest
Prove me right if you dare. I need more ammo

Preferably a nice blend of both.
I dont want to include Missouri and Mississippi up top just because they have relatively strong squads right now.

Yep: But their history speaks for themselves while only Oklahoma is in a mild drought. Texas was in the playoff last year.

If you are speaking of a blend of current and all time with a slight lean toward current (which is how I would define program prestige) I would go:
Bama
UGA
Oklahoma
LSU
Texas (they were good last year but have been extremely mediocre since 09)
Florida
UT
Auburn

LSU

Florida
UT

Texas stomped a mud hole into Saban in Tuscaloosa. Ive seen enough.

Texas stomped
So why'd that bump up UT and not us?

I'm the one trying to keep Auburn on top of the list.
Are yall getting amnesia when its only July?
We rarely win in Tuscaloosa as well. Especially not by multiple TDs.

*** Oklahoma takes a huge hit in the current rankings because they have crap the bed in big time out of conference games but if both conferences were considered equal they would easily land number 2 currently but beating a “weak” Texas team for years and the rest of the Little 12 teams isn’t such a huge accomplishment***

Tennessee's fall from grace has kept them on the mat too long to still be second.

Are all ahead of us in just about anyway you look at it
Id say Texas AM is very close to us but I give us the edge. We are a mid pack SEC program
Everybody else can frick off. We better

I’d slide UF and Okie ahead of us in the rankings. UF has multiple NC’s and Okie has 1 with 4 NC appearances. Both have Heisman winners and Okie has 14 conference championships in the last 25 years (in a weaker conference though) and UF has 3.

Agreed. We are not at the top of the heap but there are much worse programs in the SEC.

I did a historical and a last 25 years one. UTk is way down the list in the last 25 years. UF and AU are very similar in the last 25 years so I went homer maybe with AU above them but we have had a lot success head to head against them. They have more sec championships but many more “bad” seasons then us

Florida is basically just the Spurrier era
Tennessee; the phil era.
Teams gotta have better staying power than that.

Auburn owns the series over Tennessee 29-22
We lead the Florida series as well.
Auburn is still in the big 6.
Sorry to the haters

We are big 6 for sure but to a general 5 star from wherever we are like 8th or 9th in the SEC in terms of prestige right now.
Now I'd say win 10 games 2 of the next 3 years and make a playoff and we are probably right back at 5 or 6.
